DSL

Being back in the land of slow DSL is driving me crazy. Even though we were only home for a few weeks, I got used to having pages pop open and now that it takes what seems like forever to open a page, I'm getting rather irritated. I suppose I should remember how slow dial up is, if I'm going to be fussing. The DSL here is certainly better than dialing up, but boy, it sure doesn't hold a candle to our connection in Michigan.

Oh well. I should probably be spending more time doing things off of the computer anyway.

Bad News

This visit to Houston, MD Anderson to be precise, has brought more bad news. The tumor has continued to grow and is moving into more dangerous areas of his brain, despite the chemo. A new type is being tried, although the doctor says it is probably time to give up. Giving up is not really an option he's willing to consider at this point though. Can't blame him, although it seems there is a time when letting go is the right option. Having never walked a mile in those shoes, I will not say anything about the wisdom of it one way or the other. Lord have mercy on us all. Life is hard.
